The TransH2 project “Transition to hydrogen fuelled cross-border sea-mobility,” of which mareFVG is a partner, is a project launched in February 2024 and funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2021-2027 Programme.
TRANSH2 is made up of a consortium of 8 project partners (4 Italian and 4 Croatian entities) and 4 associated partners, and falls within the specific objective 3.1 “Developing and enhancing sustainable, climate resilient, intelligent and intermodal national, regional and local mobility, including improved access to TEN-T and cross-border mobility).”
The project aims to improve the sustainability of cross-border maritime transport by proposing solutions for the application and use of zero-emission hydrogen fuels, and by transferring innovative solutions to port authorities, transport operators and other stakeholders in the Adriatic area.
In particular, TransH2 is focused on promoting collaborations between SMEs and research institutions for the development of pilot actions of green hydrogen technologies in maritime passenger transport.
