Innovamare: developing innovative technologies for sustainability of Adriatic Sea

Innnovamare project will jointly develop and establish innovation ecosystem model in area of underwater robotics and sensors for purposes of monitoring and surveillance sector with a mission oriented on sustainability of Adriatic Sea.  This model will be developed in a way so it could be transferable in other regions/countries and areas of blue economy as a driver for competitiveness of innovation players on global level.

Project is set up on mission-oriented approach that focuses on problem-specific societal challenges, which many different sectors interact to solve. The focus on problems, and new types of collaborations between public and private actors to solve them, creates the potential for greater spillovers than a sectoral approach.

Our approach is new because it will be focused on integration of policies, innovation tools, networks and cross-linkages between enterprises, R&D institutions, higher education, the public sector and the citizens in direction of aligning all elements necessary for making innovative projects, products and services and giving them support from R&D to the market.

Thru process of integration we will use bottom up and demand driven approach. Innovation elements are DIH, Living Lab, Technology foresight tool, funding scheme tools, human skills capacity (new business models, spin-offs, novel technologies), interactive web network(map of excellence in area of robotics and sensors, offers and request for technology and expertise, market place for projects, products and services, funding models and pilot actions).

Through policies and systemic, transformative solutions (governance, technological, non-technological, services, behavioural changes, investments) our aim is to enable collaboration of innovation players in area of underwater robotics and sensors for monitoring and surveillance purposes and to detect innovative solutions for the prevention, reduction, mitigation and removal of sea pollution. By fostering the integration of scientificresearch and private sector we will tackle problem-specific societal challenges through providing access to networking tools, innovative processes and technologies, education tools and funding schemes. It will ensure a competitive advantage for the economy of the area and will create the premises for raise investments in R&D&I and enhance innovation eco-system.
